R-Biopharm Rhone has 15 years experience supporting and developing screening and quantitative test kits for the analysis mycotoxins. Our company has a technical service department, which is second to none, not only can we offer on the spot technical advice but also practical training, laboratory HPLC confirmation and method development to support our growing range of test kits.

Our sales team and our distributors are technically trained and can offer on site technical training for ELISAs, cards and immunoaffinity columns. They can also advise on the best methods, equipment and test kits for specific food or feed samples or to meet with international legislative requirements.

With the increase of legislation and the need to analyse a wide range of food and feeds for different mycotoxins there has been a demand by the food industry for test kits and methods, which provide optimum recoveries with specific commodities. As a result, RBR have developed various extraction methods and techniques for use with its screening and quantitative test kits.

Methods are now available using different solvents (methanol, acetonitrile, bicarbonate and chloroform) to optimise recoveries for the most complex food matrices and to allow compliance of legislation by even the most basic laboratories. To assist our customers further, each extraction method is validated in-house using a minimum of 6 spiked samples and the method is written up as an application note. RBR Application notes can then be used by customers to ensure good recoveries and % CVs with our test kits in their own premises with their own samples.

RBR offers a wide range of documentation to support its products including general information sheets, instructions for use, training manuals and presentations. In addition RBR can advise customers on product publications, official validations and legislation.

RBR also produce technical posters or can provide copies of posters produced by external laboratories or food companies offering data and information on kit performance on a wide range of foods and feeds. RBR regularly updates its customers on food issues, legislation and new products by sending out quarterly newsletters, mailings and by providing a comprehensive website.

RBR actively participates in EU and US collaborative trials for mycotoxins and microbiology using its screening and quantitative test kits. This helps us to compare our tests to other methods and techniques whilst confirming the performance and quality of our tests in a controlled environment.

This also gives our scientists the opportunity to liaise with our customers and to better understand their problems and needs. RBR are also involved in project collaborations in new areas of concern to the food industry. This enables RBR to provide a test solution to meet future legislation saving the industry time, effort and money.

RBR are always on the look out for commodities, which are naturally contaminated with mycotoxins. This material is used for the development of new methods, new test kits, distributor training and for the on site training of customers.
