Research and Development forms
a major part of RBR's activities, with a dedicated team of chemists,
immunologists and microbiologists operating from the Glasgow
base.
Over the years the staff have acquired extensive expertise
in
the development of monoclonal and polyclonal antibodies and
their use in different test formats such as immunoaffinity
columns, cards and ELISAs. They have also been at
the forefront of producing new methods of analysis for specific
food, feed and environmental samples, responding to the needs
of the market and the introduction of stricter legislation.
RBR's test kits are used by cereal, nut, dried fruit and
spice industries, brewing and malting companies and food sectors
including
poultry,
dairy and fish.
They are also used by public and private analysts, government
labs
and retailers.
RBR have over 15 years experience in immunoaffinity column technology;
a technology that has been adapted to detect a range of analytes
either as quantitative analytical techniques or simple screening
tests.
The company have also developed ELISAs, cards and membrane
format tests to meet the growing and diverse demands of the
food and feed industries.
RBR currently offer test kits for mycotoxin analysis, microbiological
contamination and food adulteration. We also distribute products
from the R-Biopharm range in the UK.
